She teaches Commercial and Civil Law in Ateneo de Manila University and Lyceum of the Philippines and is a co-author of books on Philippine Corporation Law; Agency, Trusts, Partnerships and Joint Ventures; and The Law on Sales. Before co-founding the Firm, she was a lawyer at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz (ACCRA) Law Offices and Gabionza De Santos & Partners Law Offices, two of the leadings firms in litigation and corporate law, respectively.
Atty. Villanueva-Tiansay has extensive experience in corporate practice. She has prepared, documented, and advised clients on a diverse range of transactions, including incorporation, corporate dissolution, revivals of corporate existence, joint ventures, licensing arrangements, shareholders’ agreements, franchising agreements, mergers and acquisitions. She has participated in notable corporate restructuring projects. She has also assisted clients to form and maintain partnerships, corporations, joint ventures, associations, and consortiums.
She oversees the firm’s collaborations with partner firms for the protection and maintenance of intellectual property rights, both locally and abroad, as well as its labor and immigration practice. She also regularly gives legal advice to the firm’s retainer clients on commercial law, employment, contracts, and other legal matters.
